Synopsis:

Tim Tebow has an impressive resume: 2-time NCAA Football Champion, professional football player, minor league baseball player, motivational speaker, founder of the Tim Tebow foundation, organizer of the Night to Shine dances around the world, and much more. Most important, he is a faithful Christian man who lets his faith guide his endeavors.

In Shaken, Tim details some of the lower points of his life and how his faith, friends, and family helped him to struggle through and come out triumphant on the other side. He includes stories of different people he has met who have also been able to over come those moments in life when they were shaken to their core.

In Mission Possible, Tim details the drive and steps he uses to accomplish his goals of making a difference in the world physically and spiritually and how his faith influences his choices and decision making.

Parental Guidance: low

True life stories of people overcoming physical, mental, emotional and

societal odds.

Recommendation:

I didn’t originally read these two books with the intention of reviewing them for this website, but after reflection, I think that they are written in a way that middle school students would enjoy reading them and getting something out of them. Especially students of faith who should be inspired by Tim’s stories of how his faith was passed down to him from his family and how he in turn, his using his faith to inspire others.

The first book would be valuable to students going through their own struggles, and the second book should be inspiration to students who are looking to make a difference in the world.
